Class Information
This small, home pottery studio is located Medford NJ. What used to be a single car garage, is now a fully converted studio with 4 pottery wheels, slab roller, hand-building table, 2 kilns, and utility sink (bathroom is upstairs).
Pottery is a long process that cannot be rushed (drying, glazing, firing) so please note it can take up to 2 months for pottery to be ready. You will receive a text notification when your pottery is ready for pick-up.
We have classes for all levels including wheel throwing and hand-building. Hand-building is creating pottery from slabs of clay, pinch pot, or coil method (not the wheel). Please read full descriptions below to see which is best for you.
Bring your own snacks, BYOB welcome, and cannabis friendly :) As my yoga teachers say, “Love everyone, tell the truth, and don’t be a jerk.” <3

Wheel Throwing Clay Date
location: Peace Maker studio
2 hours @ $110.00 (price for 2 people)
Learn how to throw on the pottery wheel in this one-time class. Designed for total beginners or maybe you want to take a refresher class, all levels are welcome! I will guide you step-by-step through the basics of wheel throwing. This is a great low commitment way to try it out. Class includes clay to practice with, but If you'd like to keep a piece, we can glaze & fire for additional fee. When you’re first learning how to throw on the wheel, it’s nice to practice without the pressure of keeping a piece especially if you have perfectionism (speaking as a recovering perfectionist). But you have options :) And lastly, we have 4 pottery wheels, you may have another pair join us for class.
Drop-in Wheel Class

This class is for those with previous wheel throwing experience, from high school, college, or other pottery courses and don’t need much help on the wheel. Drop in class includes use of space, pottery wheels, tools, buckets, and the first drop-in class you book comes with 5 lbs. of clay! Additional clay is $8 per 5 lbs. which includes storing, glazing, and firing. Only clay purchased from our studio to be used in our kilns for liability purposes. No outside clay. If you mess up a piece of clay on the wheel, re-wedge it on our plaster table and reuse the ball of clay. We cannot refund you for recycled clay. Drop-ins have access to 5 color choices; blue, pink, lime green, black matte, and speckled sandstone.
